Michael has been doing hair for 20 years, and has been freelance for 12 of those. He understands the struggles it takes to succeed in the industry, and the hardships that have to be overcome along the way. Michael’s clientele includes such celebrities as Rachel Brosnahan, Padma Lakshmi, Morena Baccarin, Noah Cyrus, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and he has had the ability to work alongside Orlando Pita on shows for Michael Kors, Carolina Herrera, Oscar de la Renta, and Victoria’s Secret. Michael has also keyed shows for Alice and Olivia, Betsey Johnson, Trina Turk, Nicole Miller, Charlotte Ronson and many others. He has had the pleasure of shooting for editorials including Elle, Allure, Jalouse, FLAUNT, C Magazine and Nylon and works with advertising clients including GUESS, Aeropostale, L'Oreal, Dannon, and Dermalogica.

Melody started Melody Joy Public Relations--a beauty and lifestyle PR firm with locations in NY and LA--over a decade ago. Her years of experience building her business from the ground up and working with upcoming and established brands and artists along the way has given Melody a unique understanding about what the market needs. Melody uses her knowledge of the industry to advise clients and help artists grow their own careers. With experience building brand presence, orchestrating events, and developing social media and print campaigns, Melody is filling the gap in all things beauty.

Andrea has worked in the beauty industry for 8+ years and understands the needs of artists. Over the years, she has worked closely with top beauty brands, makeup artists, and influencers, organizing hundreds of social media campaigns and large scale events for their benefit.
Erica Whelan is a make-up artist, hair stylist, and licensed Master Barber based in NYC. Her strength as a versatile artist has allowed her to work in all areas of fashion and entertainment. Her clients include Birchbox, Adidas, Sally Hansen, and L’Oreal. In addition to her print and red-carpet work, Erica is a make-up artist in IATSE Local 798, the make-up artist & hair stylist union for film & television. Some of her film/tv work includes Quantico, Prodigal Son, and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
Erica is uniquely qualified for the Treasurer position. She worked as an Accountant for eight years, including three years as a CPA. Erica is equally adept at discussing current make-up trends as well as her love for QuickBooks. Having started her second career as a make-up artist in NYC, Erica understands the difficult financial situation that many freelance hair stylists and make-up artists face while working their way up in the industry.
As a makeup artist, photographer, and entrepreneur Danessa Myricks has mastered the perfect beauty application and image and made a name for herself as one of the most creative in our makeup industry. With the creation of her eponymous line, Danessa Myricks Beauty and her work in the studio, Danessa continues to creatively combine art and product manipulation as she pushes the beauty industry forward in both her artistry and product innovation.
Inspired initially by the inner sphere of the beauty business, Danessa’s career hit the ground running at the corporate level, where she discovered her true passions aligned the trajectory towards artistry. With insight and business structure intact, she noted the highest opportunities were to alleviate the issues of cosmetic marketing for ethnic skin tones coloring the world. From fair to deep complexions, Danessa always aimed to touch all faces equally.
Danessa’s artistic expertise and drive enabled opportunities to work on the faces for numerous celebrity projects with entertainers from music to film and her approach to beauty ignited the desires to co-create with global beauty brands like Kiss , Benefit Cosmetics & Limelight By Alcone . Danessa also has had multiple consulting initiatives for both prestige , pro, and masstige beauty brands globally.
Always ahead of the digital curve with great success she produced her best techniques into over a dozen how-to videos where devotees of beauty around the world could access professional artistry first hand. As a published author Danessa manifested makeup instruction with two books focused on contour, highlight and color for makeup artists.
Currently Danessa spends her time training makeup artists and enthusiasts globally and creating her brand Danessa Myricks Beauty, a global beauty blend of professional insight and wearable cosmetics available to every makeup devotee on the planet.
As Director of Education and Artistry for The Makeup Show and The Powder Group. James is fortunate enough to work with makeup lines and makeup artists at all levels of the industry. Over the years James Vincent’s passion for the art of makeup has included nearly every genre of makeup artistry. Film and theatre, television and celebrity work, editorial and runway work and includes training and product development positions for such companies as MAC, Stila, Kevyn Aucoin, Armani, Pat McGrath Labs, Fenty, YSL and MAKE UP FOR EVER.
James now focuses his career on working internationally. His resume includes clients as diverse as designers Ashton Michael, Charlotte Ronson, Marco Marco and Chris Habana. James' work in the music industry spans genres and includes legendary musicians from Lady Gaga, Florence and the Machine, and Amy Winehouse to Joan Jett and the Foo Fighters. In fashion and film and television James resume includes leading ladies like Liv Tyler, Reese Witherspoon and Rosario Dawson and has also been privileged enough to work with Barack Obama.
Having worked with photographers including Alexander Thompson, Mick Rock, Mike Ruiz and David Lachapelle James work has been seen in International publications including Italian Vogue, Paper, ID, V, Schon, Lucy's Magazine, Nylon, and Surface. He has been featured on numerous television shows as a beauty expert such as NBC’s The Today Show and NY1 as well as media projects with Refinery 29 and Beautylish.
Nylon magazine, The New York Times and WWD have named James as a “Makeup Artist to Watch”.
James is currently the Beauty Editor for On Makeup Magazine and Galore Magazine and contributes to countless blogs and publications.
Excelling at a young age, Cassi attended CCAD and Ohio State art programs while still in high school. Building her talent as an assistant, Cassi eventually became a Director and Education Manager for a top salon. She is very active in her partnerships with with local magazines and media, as well as national publications. As a Regional Education Manager, Cassi has worked with top salons building an education plan and keeping stylists up to date with the latest trends. Her accolades include Behind the Chair (BTC) Big Shot Award, Editorial Big Shot of the Year, as well as multiple nominations between 2016-2019.
